Xolo Mobiles has launched the new sub-brand, Black, Xolo’s online-only premium brand. One smartphone will be launched every quarter under this brand. The first smartphone in the series is itself called “Xolo Black”, sporting a 5.5-inch Full HD display and loaded with the Android Lollipop OS along with Xolo Hive UI. It is powered by the 2nd generation of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core processor and 2GB RAM.
It is a dual SIM smartphone including one hybrid SIM slot which can be used as either a SIM card slot or a micro SD card slot for storage expansion. It supports high speed 4G LTE (2300 MHz) network along with 3G and 2G networks in India.
It comes with dual cameras at the rear, 13MP & 2MP, along with LED flash. The 2MP camera is to record the depth of the image, similarly like in the HTC One M8 and Huawei Honor 6 Plus, for features like refocusing photos after they’ve been shot and extending the depth of field in a picture. The front camera is of 5MP and also comes with a flash light!
It is a well built smartphone with glass at the the front and rear panel protected by the Corning Gorilla glass display and the phone has Oleophobic coating to prevent smudges and stains. It is slim in design with 7.3mm thickness and has round edges.
